Back to School with Project Run and Play

Wow, back to school has really knocked me on my booty the last two weeks. There is no tired like back to school tired. I always feel like here in Indiana we are starting back while everyone else is just getting into the prime of their summer.

Audrey invited me to join in on this back to school tour and I figured I could probably make it work with my schedule. It would motivate me to get some things sewn up. I had several issues and had to post a little late. Apologies for the late arrival!

I ended up selecting the L&J hoodie by Suco for this tour because I know how much my girls say they need an extra layer sometimes at school. Do you know that I’ve never sewn a zip-up sweatshirt?! It’s true. This is my first one. I’m a slacker!

There are several new patterns that have just released in time for back to school sewing, and a sale. The 4 new patterns are 20% off through 8/18 at midnight EST.  No code necessary, patterns are already discounted in the shop.

Here is a tip that I decided would be helpful. Put a little piece of stabilizer at the zipper edge before sewing on the zipper. I did this because my knit was somewhat thin and I didn’t want to have any stretching. It worked amazingly. Another tip would be not to trim your zipper with the pull on the end that you are trimming off… Not that I would know anything about that.

Be sure to check out all the posts from this Back to School Tour!!!
