It’s day for of the Pre-Show and today I’m featuring Laela Jeyne Patterns*! If you have missed my other pre-show features, check them out at Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3. I hope you are all getting excited about the fun that we are going to be having next week in celebration of putting off our laundry washing to make new laundry. *This post contains affiliate links because I like to buy fabric, so if you decide to purchase from LJ from a link in this post, you will be supporting my fun little habit.
For today’s feature I stitched up the Emily T-Shirt* from Laela Jeyne Patterns. This pattern is so much more than a t-shirt pattern though, it has quite a few extra fun features that you need to know about.

This grey t-shirt is going to be a great summer go-to. Don’t be affraid to sew yourself some basics. I can dress this up with a necklace or throw on a hat for a casual look. I actually got this knit from Wal-mart and LOVE it for a t-shirt. It is thin and stretchy with great drape. I used the scoop neck here and love how it still doesn’t scream LOOK AT MY BOOBS! I feel covered and can still bend down to pick up my kids without giving people a free show. I hemmed the sleeves on this t-shirt, but I also have made the Emily in elbow length with cuffs. I love cuffs! So fast and I don’t have to worry about hemming! Win-Win. The Emily Cuffs are small and keep the look to the shirt stylish. The only thing I struggle with this pattern is the curved hemline. I love the style, but always struggle with getting those even and smooth. This one turned out pretty nice, so I am happy.
Do you sew for just your kids? Laela Jeyne Patterns also has girl patterns* too! I’ve written several posts on those if you would like to check them out too. You should also be sure to join the Facebook Fan group to see sales, tester calls, and upcoming patterns!
