Tula A-Line Dress {Laela Jeyne Patterns}
Today *Laela Jeyne Patterns is releasing two new patterns today! The *Tula A-Line Dress and the *Talia Fitted Dress. Both dresses are loaded with options as you can see in the line drawings. *This post contains affiliate links. If you decide you need to purchase a pattern and use one of the links in the post you will be supporting my fabric hoarding tendencies. 🙂
Wow, can you believe all of the options available here? Crazy! The options alone make these patterns super diverse, but simply changing the fabric adds a whole different set of styles you can put together.
Today I’m sharing my Tula A-Line dress in Mini length. The pattern includes options for partial lining and full lining of the dress. I chose to do the partial lining and it was such a quick sew. (No zipper in the partially lined dress!) This pattern is made for woven fabrics, but your fabric choice can really change the look of your creation. I used a rayon here and it has great drape. It makes for a casual fun dress with this fabric, but I know I could dress this up by swapping out the fabric for something a little fancier.
I did the scoop neck for my Tula and love where it falls. It is just low enough for my necklaces but not to low that I am worried about flashing everyone when I bend over. The fit under the arm offers good coverage as well.
The mini length in this dress is super sexy. A perfect date night length. For school, I plan to make knee length and pair it with a cardigan for some arm coverage. I think it will be perfect!
The Talia Fitted Dress is also releasing today, but I didn’t sew that one up yet. It is absolutely lovely and you can check out all the pretties in the Laela Jeyne Pattern Group for more inspiration there.
