Lounge Library for Project Run and Play

Wow, it has been a long time! Over a year to be exact since I’ve set down to my computer to create a new post for my blog. I’ve missed it! I’ve missed sewing! I’m getting back on the horse to create and support the next round of patterns put together by Project Run and Play designers.

The theme of the latest collection was Lounge Library. Anything with the word lounge in it implies easy and comfortable in my mind. I tackled a few pieces from the Nini Noni Nightwear by Call Ajaire.

We were supposed to pick a storybook theme, so I selected, Little Women. My girls are all very different, but in many ways this one is Jo. She’s the tomboy in the family and is proud to be her own person.

“I don’t like to doze by the fire. I like adventures, and I’m going to find some.” – This quote is entirely Jo, and this girl. Adventure awaits, and she will find it.

For my other girl, she seems to be more the prissy girl. She’s creative and artistic, but has her own personal struggles. This line from the book nails her life pretty well… “Some people seemed to get all sunshine, and some all shadow…”

Bless her heart, she often finds herself in the shadows. It just seems like no matter how hard she tries there is always something going wrong side up for her.

Overall, we really liked the diversity and flexibility within this pattern. There are so many options, it’s definitely a co-ed pack.
